Application
Process
To
be a certified candidate for graduation, you must first pay a $30
graduation fee to the University Cashier. Take
the paid receipt to the College Dean of your first major and obtain
an Application for Graduation. Upon receipt of the Application
for Graduation, complete the Candidate Section. Check for
valid major(s), minor, concentration/SAC (Second Academic Concentration),
degree, and expected term of completion. Note: If you are going
to graduate with two degrees simultaneously, you must file two (2)
Applications for Graduation. There is no additional charge for the
second application.
You should also schedule an appointment with your Academic Advisor
or Department Head to ensure that you meet degree requirements. Your
Department Head will certify and forward the application to
your Dean's Office. The Dean's Office will forward your application
to the Registrar's Office. If you have questions about when
you should submit your paid receipt indicating your intention to graduate,
address them to your Advisor, College Dean, or Distance Education
Program Coordinator. Degree Candidates who have applied for graduation
will receive information from the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs
about one month prior to commencement.
Please be aware
that if you receive an F (failure), W (withdrawn), or I (incomplete)
grade on a required course your final semester, you will not graduate.
It is your responsibility to notify your Dean's Office if this happens.
The Dean's Office will re-file your graduation application for the
term when you will complete your requirements.
